Nikita Patel

Nikita is an associate childcare solicitor in the family department at our Ashford office.

Nikita qualified in March 2015 and joined Owen White Catlin in May 2023 as a family and childcare team solicitor. She regularly represents parents and extended family members in disputes with children’s services, ranging from Public Law Outline (PLO) proceedings to applications in the high court.

Her specialisms include care proceedings, pre-care proceedings, special guardianships, adoption, private children matters, and non-molestation and occupation orders. Nikita cares passionately about childcare law and provides her clients with clear, concise, and timely advice. She also helps parents make decisions in relation to their families by representing them in private law proceedings.

Nikita is a member of the Central Family Court Family Justice Board and the Central Family Public Law subgroup. She frequently conducts her own advocacy for her clients to ensure continuity of representation.
