Jane Stenning
Jane is a Senior Associate in the Wills and Probate team based at the Shepperton Office.
Before starting with Owen White Catlin, Jane had an administrative career in management before training as a solicitor with Watson Marshal in Hammersmith. In September of 1998, she successfully qualified as a solicitor and, after several more years, joined Owen White Catlin in October of 2014 following its incorporation of Watson Marshal.
Since then, Jane has built an incredible career of over 24 years, working in wills, probate and administration, tax planning, and powers of attorney. She also has extensive experience in residential conveyancing and has overseen many complex high-net-worth residential sales, as well as both residential and commercial landlord/tenant matters.
Jane has, at times, acted for different generations of the same family, reflecting her dedication to the details and complexity of a family’s long-term needs and shifting dynamics. She has dealt with high-net-worth estates involving charities and individuals and complex inheritance tax calculations.
She often visits her clients where they are most comfortable, such as care homes. She tailors her practice to the elderly and vulnerable as is appropriate, working with patience and empathy at the forefront.
Jane is a member of the Law Society's Private Client Section. She likes running, taking part in charity runs, and recently completing her 250th.
