Catherine Snowdon

Partner

Catherine works on family disputes and child arrangements from our Ashford Office.

Catherine started reading Law at the prestigious University of Exeter and studied further at the College of Law, Guildford. Since then, she has spent the majority of her career as a solicitor with Owen White Catlin.

Amongst her many focuses, Catherine has extensive experience and knowledge in public law care proceedings and family law disputes involving child arrangement orders and contact. She represents parents, extended family members and children who are struggling, helping with highly sensitive and important cases involving domestic violence, mental health difficulties, drug and alcohol abuse and neglect.

Furthermore, Catherine represents clients in complex cases relating to sexual and fabricated sexual abuse, non-accidental injuries such as shaken baby and fracture cases as well as interference with medical equipment. Her range of specialities has honed her legal approach into a discrete and supportive practice.

Catherine has a track record of successfully representing parents in applications for financial orders pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and in obtaining orders to protect clients and their children from domestic abuse. A member of Resolution, The Association of Lawyers for Children, and the Law Society's Children Panel, Catherine frequently conducts her own advocacy to ensure continuity of representation for her clients.
